Nope, don't really get any unwanted calls. I girl I used to know would get threatening voice mails for some other woman and her owing money, though.

We used to get a ton of calls thinking we were "Rudolf's" which apparently was the name of a local bar/tavern. I'm pretty sure most of the people who made such calls were drunks.

Go figure.

This doesn't happen to me anymore, but a lot of people at my high school were plagued with Spanish telemarketers calling on their cellphones, sometimes during class. That happens because of all the illegal immigrants living in our area, since they don't usually get a normal phone, they stick to cellphones.

I also got a spam text message from someone which went something like "your dad is really worried about you, we are in an urgent situation and I need to talk to you really really badly!" At the time, my parents were up at our beach house, so I was like "oh shit", but I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't think it was real. I called them anyway, and sure enough, they were fine. What a mean spam.

I kept getting calls on my cell phone from some guy I didn't know, because his daughter was missing, and apparently my phone number was one of the numbers she had or something. He left voicemail messages sometimes. I didn't answer my phone since it was a number I didn't recognize. I didn't know who his daughter was, I didn't know who he was, why were they calling me?

It isnt as bad as it was before, but when I first got my cell phone, I kept getting calls for this "Maria" person.

Id presume she was the original owner of the number. Something tells me she was in some sort of financial trouble with the kind of calls I was getting though.

I once had a telemarketer who called me asking if I thought telemarketers were honest.

I hung up.

We call OUT to a lot of wrong numbers at work.

It's always fun to be asking for a Chinese person at work and then someone who's obviously Asian says that nobody by that name lives there. HMMMMMMM.

Just because two people are of the same ethnicity doesn't mean they're the same person. Is there a significant Chinese population in your area?

I have two friends with numbers that are very similar

My friend Heather from school, and my girlfriend are only one digit off in their phone numbers (they live in the same apartment building).

I sometimes get Heather when I want Sarial, and vice versa when I'm dialing
