When I was a kid and still had a SNES, Super Metroid. Now, it's Chrono Trigger.

ONE SNES GAME TO RULE THEM ALL

...

I SAID, ONE SNES GAME TO RULE THEM ALL

...

...

CHRONO TRIGGER, GET UP HERE ALREADY

Chrono Trigger is just epic.

Super Metroid arghghghhghghghghrhgrhgrhghldsasdfghjkl. I could never finish that game.

And, of course, Yoshi's Island.

I'm surprised just how many people here give their votes to platformers while totally ignoring all the brilliant RPGs there were.

RPGs and the closely related action adventures are the pride and glory of the SNES platform.
I don't like RPGs.

I do like Kirby's Dream Land 3, though. That game is class. Super Star is also good, but its art style is so inferior

So you could look us straight in the eyes and say you honestly didn't like SMRPG?
I can understand if you dislike obscure RPGs, but seriously, some of the best games out there are mainstream RPGs.

I like the RPG's that don't have you grinding and killing monsters to get money or to get stronger after you get to a new area. That's what turned me off about Secret of Mana. Super Mario RPG is the perfect balance where you don't need a lot of cash or a high level to advance the storyline without difficulty. I'm a guy that likes storyline, and dislikes repetitiveness. Games that flow well are the shit.

...I never truly got into SMRPG.

Also, Yoshi Island is truly my most favorite SNES game ever. Probably the most platformer ever infact.

I didn't like SMRPG. I think it's a boring game, and the plot does not fit the universe. I did like the Paper Mario games, though. They took everything that was good about SMRPG and made it significantly better.

if chrono trigger had any ounce of difficulty I would have to agree with you, but it is just way too easy of a game.

anyway, F-Zero was the shit, and so was Tecmo super bowl. These are easily my two favorite sports games.

I almost finished it once (back when the actual cart still worked), but the SNES crashed after I beat Gold Torizo and Ridley and had just entered tourian... and I had forgotten to save apparently, so I just gave up at that point. I didn't feel like doing all of that over again.

Super Mario World was probably my favorite of the games I've played. It's actually the only game I remember the name of. I never had my own SNES so I always went to my neighbors to play and we played whatever she had.

She? That's awesome. All my friends were guys. Lucky bastard.

Now that I think of it, I wonder how many games had the potential to be my all time favorite but never had the chance because I never played them...

Probably the "fat middle-aged she" type person...
Who only keeps the SNES to attract small kids.

Actually she's only a year older than me. You did get the fat part right though.

You didn't hear that from me.

I really can't understand how one could find SoM's plot confusing. Among all the RPGs I know, it has one of the most trivial ones.

Also, can you do something about your grammar? Your capitalization, at times, looks like you just 1d2 to determine whether to start the next word with a capital letter.

Hm.

Action-platformer: Probably Megaman X-X3. Hm, Kirby Superstar.

RPGs: Lufia II, Terranigma, FFVI, SMRPG, FFV, Earthbound, Ranma½: Treasure of The Red cat gang something, Romancing Saga 3.

I wonder if I forgot something.

Never played one. I've played Super Mario World in emulators and the Game Boy Advance, but never on the real system.
