I'm interested in hearing what others are going to be doing on July 4th. I need to try to get together with some people, and have some fun. I'd like to go to the beach that night, but I don't know what's happening yet.

I'm seeing the big fireworks display in Boston. I went there last year, and I liked it. Getting home was nightmarish, though, since I took the Subway there. The place was absolutely PACKED! And my stop was the very last stop on the train, and by the time we were halfway there, I almost fell asleep because I was getting tired. I was walking around an awful lot at the fireworks. I felt so good when I went to bed that night, though

Going to watch fireworks up at grandparents' place. I'll probably drink lots of soda (unlike NSNick... we know what he's going to drink ).

Having your post as nothing but a quote of someone elses is, contrary to popular belief, not cool. Try and have some actual content next time.

As for me, I'm british, but it IS a friday, so I'll probably be out drinking anyway.

Same here for me, probably just going out and getting drunk (and probably stoned, knowing me), especially since it's the last day of school for me

Lemonade?

I usually head down to a local fireworks display, which for some reason they changed the location of this year.
Otherwise, I spend the day at a relatives house.

I may go to the International Hotdog Eating Contest in Coney Island, but I'd have to get there two or three hours in advance just to find a spot to stand in where I can see anything, so I don't know if I have the patience for that.

At night, probably go up on the roof of my building and check out the fireworks--last year there were probably three or four shows going simultaneously from each side, so it was quite a sight to behold.

Well, I just got back from a night full of fireworks and alcohol, because for some crazy reason, Columbus likes to have their fireworks (Red, White, and Boom) on the 3rd.

As for tomorrow, I plan on working my shift until 7, and then showing up at the bar.

I didn't even celebrate the closest Swedish equivalent of 4th July. >>

I probably get around finishing the game in Civ IV... where I play as the Americans.

Me? I'll watch people blow things up, drink a lot of soda, and maybe make a random salute every once in a while.

Just like our founding fathers would have wanted.

Lord Myre: There's a couple of flawas in your plan, mainly that you're not blowing anything up yourself. Try it someday.

That, and it wasn't soda back then - it was booze, wine, or water.

I still don't think we have any plans for today unless Dad brings home some fireworks. That's the only chance there is - not like I care anyways.

I had a good time on Uncle Sam's birthday. I watched some fireworks outside my window and after they finally stopped we grabbed some dry ice and blew some shit up. I had a great time chucking them in the canal and watching them blow up hundreds of feet downstream underneath traffic! Also tied a rock to one of them and blew one of them up under water.

All in all, a kickass way to celebrate 7/4!

No that's what we say about the overeating, dangerous behavior, and senseless parades.
