Yoiks. Some person pulled a fire alarm in our school about 20 minutes ago... I can safely say that it is very cold out there.
<10*C, wet, and I'm in a flimsy T-shirt For 20 minutes. Why do people have to do this kind of stuff? < So, you have any similar experiences? |

Last year someone pulled the fire alarm during winter. -6*C in a t-shirt with slightly strong winds. It was not fun. ____________________ |

Posted by Kailieann First time I read that I could have sworn you said "you damn pussy." But regardless QFT. I misread words all the time. I was looking at a sign on a business today while waiting for a light to change. It was an Italian restaurant that said "artfully made cuisine," but I thought it said "artificially made cuisine." Perhaps I can see hidden truth behind the actual words . ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

My old school had Portables so during the winter something froze inside the alarm (the portables had horrible heating X_X) which caused it to go off. I don;t know how long we were outside but it was freezing!
Another time (at a different school now) someone pulled the fire alarm by accident(???) which caused everyone to leave the building. It didn't bother me though because it wasn't very cold (it was raining but not hard) and I got a few answers for a science test I was in the middle of |

It's only gotten below freezing here once or twice, and that was during a record cold snap. T-shirts are good all year around here! |

On the other side of the spectrum, I've had to do 7 hours of drumline practice in 110+ degree heat. And I'm no athlete. |

The worst I've experienced is maybe 40 or so F.
I actually like the cold, unless it's wet cold. Then I hate it. ____________________ ._. + internet |

Cold by itself is not bad...

I'm so glad that it hasn't gotten that cold in Texas. Can't remember the last time that the temperature went below zero degrees. |

Cold is actually better than hot, since with cold you can always just put on more clothes... when it's hot, there's only so far down you can go and air conditioning is expensive ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Xkeeper has a point actually. I never thought of it that way...
Really though, I just hate whichever season I'm not in. If it's winter, I hate it and want summer, if it's summer, I hate it and want winter. I don't mind the other seasons, they're normally just the right temperature. I just got back from a walk outside to Mobile and got some foodstuffs (Is there a reason foodstuffs does not ding Firefox's spell checker?) and it was pretty fricking cold. Like 3 degrees F cold. I bought a buttload of ice cream too... ____________________ I miss post headers more. |

I walked last week to Tim Hortons during my lunch break - 6-7 minute walk in -30C or so (well, with windchill and DAMN was that a strong wind).
If you're Canadian or in the Northeast US, you're used to this. |

Posted by KailieannYes, but in a T-shirt? I mean, at the very least I'm sure you were layerd ;x I feel for the guy. Lately we've been having heating problems in the house. Fuel clog, or something of that nature. Showers would be ice cold and the heat simply wouldn't turn on (well, if you want to split hairs, our nifty remote controlled fireplace was still working). I'm also nearly convinced my room is the coldest in the whole house--the irony being that my sister, one room over, seemingly has the warmest. Granted this is more than likely all in my head, and probably has everything to do with the sides of the house our rooms so happen to be on, but I digress. Um, what was my point here...uh, being cold sucks, I guess. |
