I'm all for having an active staff that has the time to care about moderating the forum, but let me ask you guys this... What's the point? The activity in general, on this board, is just ridiculous. The last few days, no one has been on this board. And as I would usually expect on this board, I'm expecting someone to reply to my post, with a smart ass remark about how thats not true. If you honestly think that this forum is an active forum, I feel bad for you. If this is as good as it gets, then thats pretty sad. It was never like this a couple years ago. Romhacking.net has more activity than this place. I was talking to someone else about this. I might go on that forum more if it stays like this.

In all honesty, we don't need many staffers right now. The board's just not active enough to warrant many staff members, in my opinion. Of course, that can easily change, so localmodding a few people might not be a bad idea so we have an idea who to put where when the need arises

(and yes, I'm aware we already have a few local mods)

Mattaku, not again!? Administration is almost ALWAYS a question of popularity. You're popular, you score a point. You're friend with another admin, you've got a point. Other points are at best arbitrary. Everyone is bound to be busy with something else from time to time...

By the way, Rockman, how do you draw the line between "ridiculous activity" and "acceptable activity"? One message every minute? Hour? Day? Week? Month? Year? Decade? Century? Millenium? Eon? I presume it's more important to have quality content rather than quantity...

Why not drop everything here and migrate en masse towards ROM Hacking's forums? That's in the realm of the possible...

We all know this can't happen because if staff reorg will happen in the same way it has happened since 2001, the higher ups (bh) will never let people they don't agree with (me) to be in staff.

Follow rules, be likeable, and have someone awesome support you (thanks again Arbe.)... oh, or you could do the first 2 things I said and be awesome on your own.

And being at least somewhat active is a must. Of course, that's to be expected.

In my honest opinion, this thread reeks of "I wanna be the admin! D:" Certainly, we aren't the most active of staff, and yes, I do agree that some are currently unnecesary (and have been already demoted), but you seem to miss the fact that, like you, we have this thing called a "life", which occupies a lot of our time. We cannot dedicate all of our free time to the board, as we have other things to do as well, like put up with all the stuff required for college admission. Please understand.
