Okay. Before we start, a lot of staff are going to read this, and say something like "he's not staff his opinion doesn't count who cares DISREGARD THREAD". Well, I'd quote some guy some time about how staff are here to serve the members, not the other way around, but I don't remember where it was.

This is generally a thread to address the fact that the majority of the current staff are inactive, never post, and are really only on staff because some guy high up is scared to stir up drama. And, of course, the fact that we need new staff. I don't know how you'd do that, I guess you could always set the Staff Reorg forum to powerlevel 0 again so people can actually see it, and that indeed seems the best idea, since most other ways will involve the current staff, who either don't care, don't like the board, or just like the coloured names and being able to give an opinion in S/A/O.

Reasons to demote: Still reads the board and idles in IRC, but doesn't actually ever post, and as far as I can see, whilst he still did post, he didn't really do anything staff related towards the end anyway.

Reasons to demote: Do I really need to list the reasons to demote him? 39 posts, last posted 4 months ago, last viewed board 1 week after that, doesn't do anything as a local mod, is entirely useless.

Please don't just take this lightly, and don't tl;dr it, the current staff are inactive and have no use, and failing that there are too many.

blackhole89, don't be all angsty about making a point about this, or going against it, just because I'm the person that brought this to light. You know it's a problem just as well as everyone else does, and if you're going to ignore it out of laziness, you're as bad as all the other Full Mods.

I put some inactive staff as local moderators for now, they can view staff forums but that's it.

Also this goes better into Help and suggestions now I think on it.

We all know this can't happen because if staff reorg will happen in the same way it has happened since 2001, the higher ups (bh) will never let people they don't agree with (me) to be in staff.

I agree with the idea, if not right this second. I don't think the changes are quite necessary with only about 20 regular board users. We don't need everyone to have staff powers. Ideally when this place starts on the rise again though, they could keep our names in mind...

I'd make one of these for Cirvante, since as an admin he doesn't really do anything, and could perhaps do better as a Full Moderator, and there is no way you need more admins than you do Full Mods, but then he'd cry and be against it.

Actually he's fine as admin; considering the admins are almost never on, we need as many as we can get, so that at least one will be online if something happens.
