Yes it's late, but we did it last year.

Going into my geometry final (normally my weakest subject) I had a flat C.
From there I somehow emerged with a flat B. I'm ecstatic about that one.
Otherwise, in Spanish (my second worst class) I went into the final with a high C and came out with a B-.
Everything else was a pushover class.

So, how were your finals?

Finals? What finals?

I'm not at that point yet, fortunately. I don't know how I'd wind up doing.

Hah, lucky. But not so much now, you get to be a freshman.

For my final exams, I have the following results:

15 (highest possible grade, could be called "A+") in Advanced Maths and Advanced English
12 (equivalent of B+, somewhat disappointed with that) in Physics, going to take an additional exam to raise it to an "A-" 13
14 (plain "A", positively surprised here) in the oral exam in History

I could list my average marks in the other subjects here, but since they, in the German education system, weren't finals in the strict sense, I won't bother.

As a total, I get a 1.1 (1.0=best) graduation average, which could perhaps roughly be compared (quality differences of the education systems left aside) to a 3.9 US GPA. I'd have been glad to get a perfect 1.0 score, but I suppose I slacked too much over the two graduation-relevant years (here, the grades for the Abitur are accumulated from the regular grades over the course of two years then weighted against final exam results). For not having prepared for a single test before the finals and having scarcely done 10% of all homework given, I guess I still can be content.

I got my ass handed to me in Elementary Analysis and on the final in there, luckily, I won't have to take the class again.

Everything else I did respectable work in, A- in Design and Analysis of Algs, B+ in Software Engineering (mainly because all the assignments were group project and you were graded on how well you're group worked together, lets just say that I was the only productive member in our group, and since most the commits were done by me, he docked us points for not working as a group, freakin bullshit), and a B in Operations Research (Linear Optimization, Queuing Theory, Game Theory), would of been a B+ but instructor doesn't deal with + or - grades...

I guess I'll have no shame and say I got a C+ in Elementary Analysis, the class seriously was one of the crappiest classes I've ever taken and sucked every hour of my life away. And even after all the effort, you still wouldn't benefit (I got a 48 / 100 on one test, a 110/200 on the final). I'm just glad I don't have to take it again.

I guess for working full-time and for all these classes being upper level Math and Comp Sci classes, I shouldn't be too disappointed.

Done with my 3 week summer class, Sociology and got an A in that, working on Macroeconomics and Classical Mythology in the 5 week summer session right now, Myth should be an easy A, Macro might be a bit tougher but I think I'll pull it out.

I have never heard of anyone getting perfect marks in both Math and English (advanced courses no less) I have to say I am impressed.
I've never been a "math person", so I compensated for that with my writing abilities.

BL: why do you need elementary anakysis? You're not a math major are you?

Just wondering, b/c that stuff is pretty much bread and butter of mathematics people but I can't see anybody else needing it, save maybe a physics major.

I had As and Bs until finals. After finals, I had all As.

I don't know my exact final exam grades though.

I am a math and computer science major, math mainly just because looking at my schedule of classes I only needed like 15 credits more of math to get a major, and it's probably beneficial to have a strong background in math for computer science. Most of the math classes I've been taking have had computer science application (see Operations Research, Discrete Math, Linear Optimization, Numerical Analysis) but then there's those like Elementary Analysis, which I enjoyed the course a lot, but with working full time and taking 9 other credits in fairly advanced courses I just really didn't get to bunker down and get it down. Actually I have been looking over stuff this summer from it and am kicking myself for some of the stuff I had trouble with... oh well.

And even with the math major, I didn't "need" to take it, it just happened that the course that is the replacement for Elementary Anal was full when it was my turn to register, and I needed one or the other to advance, so I got stuck in there.

But yeah... that's why I took it, and I am a Math major.

Hmm, my results came out a few days ago.

Chemistry III - 83, Distinction
Chemical Applications III - 75, Distinction.

Kinda pissed off about the Chem 3, just short of a High Distinction. That being said those are some pretty nice results regardless. (Over here 50-60% is considered an entirely average and expected grade for Uni).

The finals? That was months ago, I'm going back to school in two weeks

But I got straight As everywhere except Spanish. Where I think I got a B-

I'm getting advanced Spanish though, with literature, verb conjugations, poetry, etc...
