There's a tool called 'Pepakura Designer' that converts 3D models to paper templates.
Also, here's the Saucer!

So, would you be so kind as to tell me what kind of glue is best for this sort of thing? Elmer's glue seems kind of messy and a glue stick seems weak... Super Glue?

Ordinary glue works just fine. Just don't pour it like some sauce :U
Little drips should do the trick.
