Hm, Capcom USA finally updated their Mega Man section to include Mega Man 9--it's nothing we haven't already seen, but at least it's something. And they also made Classic Mega Man the default image/theme, the way it should have been all along! Awesome.

I listened to the entire soundtrack and was blown away! the composers did a fantastic job.

I absolulty love the box art, and hope that I can obtain a T-shit of it. I've been looking all over the internet to find an official US release date for this on the Wii, and I can't find one. Would anyone here know of this?

lol @ T-shit.

That package deal with the box, and the CD inside the NES-like cartridge case, is just awesome. A must-have item! And I say get the shirts if you can too! Sucks that they are limited edition, you'll have to get them as soon as they come out, and I'm willing to bet that they will go really fast.

If I ever see one here somewhere I'll get it no matter what.

"Plug Man"? I already see the first MEGADICK 9 hacks with a predictable renaming on the horizon.

So how closely did they keep to actual NES hardware limitations in the whole picture?

A NES wouldn't be capable of running it from what I've read.

Well put it this way, due to the way it was created, a NES could not handle it. It's not like they have all the old dev stuff for the famicom laying around, let alone people that know how to use it well on deck. This wasn't created as a NES game, it was created using the same tools available to any other new game, they just used it to make a product that is NES like in quality.

Considering there is an actual sprite flicker on/off option, I'd assume there is no way it could run on a NES.

Like I said, it wasn't developed to be a NES game, just a NES-like game.

I agree that some of the names could've been better. They should've called Plug Man "Voltage Man", or "Electron Man", or maybe even "Shock Man". Plug Man isn't the greatest of names.

"Voltage Man", or "Electron Man", or maybe even "Shock Man".

When you consider the fact that both his head and right hand have gigantic plugs on them, none of those names really work.

It'd be nice if they released this as a DS title or something.

Who knows, maybe they will. Capcom is the king of porting games and milking them.
