I must know what you are talking about.

/me downloads Megaman 2

You've never played Mega Man 2? You might want to check out Contra and Super Mario Bros. 3 while you're at it...

I usually start with Quickman, so the lasers are not problem for me. I think I can start on anyone except Woodman, never tried now that I think about it...

It's easy to start on Wood Man.

All you need to do when he comes along is blast him constantly.

Good news for you XBOX 360 and PS3 owners, this is no longer a Wii Ware exclusive.

AND YOU HAVE NO TIME STOPPER

When people ask me what game first scared me I always answer: Megaman 2 Quickmans stage.

That sound still haunts me to this day.

BZUUUUUM *DEAD*

haha I used to be scared of those Lazers too

but i finally got past them without TimeStopper lol

I always save the Time Stopper for Quick Man himself.

Also, Grey Mario, play MM2 and Contra. Do it now.

Actually that was a gaffe on Capcom's part, it's Wiiware only.

Here are some newer, clearer screen shots, and an interview with Inafune (who ambiguously answers one of the questions as though it may, one day, be released on PSN and XBLA): http://www.gamesradar.com/wii/mega-man-9-wiiware/preview/mega-man-9-exclusive-reveal/a-20080702154756565049/g-20080626165055938021

(Edit yet again: Also odd that they may have removed charging AND sliding--charging I might understand, but if they're going to have Rush and the item shop thing, they might as well have kept something as simple as sliding, I'd think--though nothing short of death could keep me from buying this game, regardless.)

I hope this game succeeds, in every single way. I am so tired of this new generation of games. No originality what-so-ever, and nothing but graphics. This baby is the best thing to happen in a long time. And I hope that Capcom will continue to give us Mega Man games like this, in the classic style. It bothers me when these new gamers of today, and these game companies that used to make hit games, all they care about is money and graphics, and they criticize a game like Mega Man 9, just because it is in the style that it is. This is what gaming is all about. Not some boring, un-original, first-person shooter, that relies mostly on graphics to make the game a hit. I mean, that's all that they ever do today, is make the same crappy FPS games. [/rant]

Capcom, Thank You for Mega Man 9, and for looking past the money part, and for trying to make games good again.

Ugh. Most of the screenshots for the game look worse than MM3-6.

EDIT: Also, Grey Mario, as long as we're still urging you to play NES games, I'll suggest Metal Storm. It'll blow your puny mind away.

Logical Operand: I hope you're not suggesting that current-gen games are bad in general, and that the NES generation had a higher hit-to-dud ratio.

Everything in that video indicates that it is written in 6502 ASM and not an improvised language. Then again, you still never know, but I *really* want to play that on an actual NES.
