Wow, that sounds.. fast.
Weird thing too, since I was just thinking about redownloading it this morning so I could whip out an oldie or two and enjoy the nostalgic goodness. |

Yeah it's faster, tried out TT under it, and it ran smoother despite taking less CPU cycle than it did under 0.65.
I probably should try some high-end game. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Of coure, an easier way to adjust speed would be nice...a lot of games run too slowly, but some (such as Kroz) go blindingly fast and I have to keep editing dosbox.conf depending on what game I'm trying to play.
i hate when older games would base the game speed on the CPU speed! |

ctrl-f11 and ctrl-12 as well as typing "cycles=whatevernumber" in dos prompt aren't easy enough? |

I'm using the D-Fend frontend, so I'm probably not taking full advantage blahblah, but Blood and ROTT are once again running at a comfortable, playable FPS - Blood at 640x480!
Fantastic stuff. |

The "buttonwrap=true" line is PURE EVIL. It kills support for Playstation 2 controllers connected by a USB adapter. ____________________ |

Real Blackjack and Wayne Gretzky Hockey 3 seem to work well now, so that's a big plus. |

Posted by leileilol I thought you had to edit the cycles in dosbox.conf each time, requiring me to navigate to a folder, open a text editor, figure out what value to change it to, test it in DOSbox, find out it's too fast/slow, lather, rinse, and repeat. Ctrl-F11 and F12 are really awkward to use, they don't seem to adjust the speed very much each time. |

You can adjust how much they would adjust in the config file. Personally, I probably use the auto mode when it's available now, although it's probably a good idea to manually tune cycles for some... games that would run too fast. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Yeah, I have some games that run blindingly fast. Kroz was written in the days when 16 Mhz was considered top of the line. |
