Apparently the number of nail-gun related injuries has nearly doubled since 2001. Proof
I've been conscripted to help with the renovation of a room in my house. New electrical, new flooring, adding sheet rock, and painting. Its setting up to be quite a biznitch.

Anyway though, what's the largest do-it-yourself project you've ever taken on?

Built a fishing hut once, though that was with and for my grandpa...Other than that, I built a bike from scratch. It's made from scraps but the chain got replaced brand new just recently.

Building a deck, landscaping the backyard, landscaping the front yard.

Family work like that, mostly.

I repaired stuff with a screwdriver before (strangely, I can't recall what I did... just that I used my toolbox a few times), and even fixed some NES controllers that stopped working.

That's about it. I'm not very handy.

The downstairs in the house I live in was incomplete when we moved in. Even after 10 years it's still incomplete, but at least it has been habitable. Recently the upstairs has been renovated, but it's still unfinished despite the fact that there are only 2 or 3 things left to do.

That's actually the same circumstance I'm in. Only its the upstairs of the house that was never properly fixed when my family moved in. It's been about seventeen years now...

Back in elementary school, I masterminded and, to a large part, built a treehouse. Does that count?

Meh, a real DIY cereals would involve grabbing corn from a field and roast them yourself.

A while ago I prepared a bowl of Cheez-its.

In my first semester in college, my group and I designed and built a miniature catapult to launch a tennis ball 20 feet (how big!). I didn't do much of the building; I mainly did the designing, but I still helped with it. ._.

I think there is a far more interesting story here...

You fail it.

About the best thing I've ever done recently is prepared myself a cup of cereal. I'm not exactly geared towards physical things.

I programmed a windows Simulator when I was 9. By myself. And to this day I'm the only person I know who can do that type of thing.

What is a "windows Simulator" anyway?

Perhaps "Windows Parody" would be more fitting.
