Well, my favourite Sim games are SimCity 2000 and SimTower.

I've never played The Sims at all, sadly

SimCity 2000 is fun, and it spawned one of the more infamous video game quotes: "Reticulating splines".

SimTower is cool too, I've made a "TOWER" level before

I've only played the SimCities. I think Simcity 2000 was the best game but Simcity 4 was the best simulation. SimCity 4 isn't really a game in the traditional sense as it has little challenge and no goals, it's really a program to create simulated cities. 3000 was kinda lousy as it was mostly just a graphical overhaul of 2000 with a very few new features like the landfills and incinerators.

*Darkdata builds many fireplaces and chairs and sets the whole house on fire while repeatedly using the MOVE_OBJECTS_ON cheat to remove the grim reaper and bring him back at will.

... What was the question?

I've only played Simcity for the SNES and the Sims. I enjoyed the Sims most, but only building the house anything else gets boring too fast.

I played SimCity (PC, Macintosh and SNES), SimCity 2000, then (I think) SimAnt and SimEarth ...

I had the most fun with SimCity 2000 on my old Macintosh, although I hacked the game to start with $2147483647 ... I remember there was one city I worked on a lot Second best out of those for me would be the SNES SimCity, it just looked better and funner.

My sisters have been playing The Sims (1 and 2) and various expansions lately, though, so I think it's pretty obvious in their case

I played a version of Simcity for the Commodore 64 once...don't know if it was an original or very early version, or a later version based on the PC game though. There were no building graphics at all, just solid squares for RCI buildings and larger squares with an icon for power plants and such. No transportation except roads, no police or fire, I think there was an airport though.

Haha *remembers a VGCats comic with the same idea (I think it was VGCats...)*

I want to play Sims 2, supposed to be lots of improvements over the first one, and I was to see how they do Animal Crossing for Wii (My Sims is basically an Animal Crossing ripoff)

SimTower never really clicked for me. I played SimCity the most, I think.

I think Spore will be lovely.

I had simtower, and I never really liked it :/

Personally, I like Simcity 3000 the best, though I haven't played 3000 Deluxe or 4.

Also, simcity classic for SNES was the best of the Simcity classics IMO.

I like Sim City 2000, Sim City for SNES, Sim Tower, and Yoot Tower the most. Yoot Tower is pretty much Sim Tower 2.

I liked Sim City for SNES, and Sim Tower. Haven't gone around to reinstalling Sim Tower though.

Simcity 4 easily beats any of the other Simcity games.

Seriously, they don't feel challanging enough. And I like the traffic model in Simcity 4.

I play The sims 2 alot too, and I like to build stuff.

Almost all the sims games and expansions have "Reticulating splines" jokes when loading.

The Sims 2 is actually pretty neat, especially when modded up to suit your own personal tastes.. All the expansion packs for it are a bit daunting though.. I haven't bothered reinstalling it in a long while for that very reason. (Ended up several expansions behind, and I just haven't had an interest to catch up or dig around for old mods that would still work with what I do have.)

I played SimEarth in elementary school, and made quite a few custom worlds.

I had some fun with The Sims (never got into Sims 2, though) and SimTower (which I still screw around with sometimes), but I enjoyed the SNES SimCity the most.

SimCity 2000 was the first PC game I ever played, so it'll always be special to me. I never got the hang of SimEarth/Farm.

I kinda got bored with Sims fast, usually I'd just get lazy and get a decent amount of good-quality furniture while only getting halfway up the career ladder, because I was too lazy to bother getting more family friends.

But really, after you've played one, you've played them all.
