Been enjoying Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (and it's sequel, Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei). It's a quite funny animé.

It's about a pessimistic teacher that takes everything into negative light. The anime starts off with him meeting a extremely optimistic girl, that even talks about negative things with cheer, who is one of many strange pupils in the school class of 2-He.

I would really recommend most people to watch the Animé, it's funny to watch a fansub of it even if lots of the jokes are puns on the Japanese language.

"2-He"? As in, Helium, atomic number 2? Hmm...

No. Since the anime is styled in that "1920s Japan" way, they use the iroha system for enumeration (A method of putting the kana in order, think alphabet, except Japanese; it's also based on some ancient Buddhist poem that has every kana in it exactly once). The modern equivalent of that class, in other words, would be 2-F.

Definitely one of the best anime I've seen. Like, seriously, you must watch it now.
I love how most things that itoshiki goes zetsubou at are huge punches at hypocrisies of society.

Modern rendition. Doesn't maintain the kana uniqueness.
Try again.

(I know the first two lines by heart. Does that make me weeaboo? )

Not to say, how damn abstract things get... especially in later episodes.
