So I've decided I should actually practice drawing or something. So I started practicing on tuesday.
And then yesterday I did a quick sketch of Trance before I went to bed. Trance being a character from my old sprite comics. Anyways, this is what Trance normally looks like in sprite form: 
Note that unlike most sprites, Trance is asymmetrical, and if I had bothered to upload a sprite of her looking left instead of right, you'd be able to see that she also wears different colored earrings. Anyways, that's not really the point. Here's the rough, detail-less sketch I did. 
By and large it was all about the eyes, which I have always had problems with (until yesterday). Everything else was just there to make it a face instead of eyes. I haven't figured out how to draw bodies yet. Also, I don't have a scanner, so that was taken with a digital camera. And then I colored it using my fancy tablet and Paintshop Pro. I somehow get the impression that I may need more practice with the coloring than with the drawing at this point, but I'll worry about that later. Also I didn't shade or detail at all, so it's just big blobs of uniform color. I kinda think the original sketch looks better, but oh well. Here it is. 
Her mask is very off-center. *shrug* guess that's why I'm practicing. |

The sprite looks like it would fit well in Chrono Trigger.
