Replace "factors" with "divisors" in the above statements and yes, 1 divides itself.

As far as I know, 1 is not considered a prime for the sake of the statement that "every natuarl number >1 has a unique prime factorization". If 1 was considered prime, you could represent 6 as 2*3, 1*2*3, 1*1*2*3 etc.

Given that prime factorization is just about the only factorization used commonly, no.
