For some reason, most people have heard about portal but pretty much ignored Team Fortress 2 for some reason... despite it being the better game (IMO) in Orange box.

Either way, a major upgrade have came out (one that been looked forward by the whole playerbase for half a year now), and valve will have the game temporarily free this weekend... so anyone can try it out. It's possible to download the game on beforehand before the free trial period starts as well.

Look here.

Just when I thought I'd stopped playing TF2.

People found out a exploit where it was possible to unlock all achievements in one go (including the weapons linked), however valve says they're able to check who used the command and I figure this means that everyone who got the achievements square and fair will keep theirs... while the ones who didn't will just get theirs resetted.

Sadly, I hadn't played Goldrush too much... but from what I seen, it's a good level. Biggest one so far too it seems.

Goldrush is awesome, I reccommend the spy when your team is offense, turrets are the pain in the ass in this level.

I had no idea anyone here played TF2. Would be cool to get in a game.

Goldrush is great, and the game type is brilliant, I think. But it always, always, always becomes a sniper- and sentry-fest. Since I'm usually a heavy, I quickly get bored of not being able to move forward because I will get a bullet between the eyes if I so much as peek around a corner. (This is the worst in stage one, just past the first cap point.)

The new medic update doesn't help, either, because I always seem to attract a medic buddy who's more concerned with working on his achievements than keeping me alive. I've had medics hold their uber for literally minutes at a time, letting me die in the process, just to get some achievement.

But yeah, TF2 is great .

Which this happens time to time, it's no longer much of a concern as most people who care have gotten their achievements. Infact if you look on the userpage of mine, I have gotten all achievements... legit too, I might add.

I would expect Goldrush getting a gameplay tweak eventually. Even if it's a pretty fun map, some parts feels too easy for BLU to keep the cart going, while on others the RED have a almost insane advantage. The game rewards you with a nice looking explosion too, if you succeed as BLU... which I really like, even if it's just eye-candy.
