Why no mention of this yet? Sour grapes cause it's not out over in the US yet (allegedly, I've played someone from the US though).

NE ways, for you Europeans who have it already, my friend code is 1590 4825 7237. If anyone has any questions about it, just ask.

Code is.. uh.. 0688-5390-1077

Had to look it up. I also prefer people to tell me when added. I got bored of Wi-fi random, everyone seems so bad.

I'm up to 6500 odd now, though I know what you mean about people being bad. They'[re either VERY bad, or extremely good (though I did once beat someone who was 7700 odd. Very happy)

I'll add you sometime tomorrow.

What´s funny is that I always seem to place decent on the harder tracks of the game. Take Luigi Circuit for example. Easy to get owned on that track. While on Rainbow Road where people fall off to the left and right, I usualy place in the top 4.

I was at 6000 a little while ago but it went down a bit.

I NEARLY got to 7,000 but then my router acted up, chucked me out of a race twice when I was winning and I'm back down to 6,600 odd.

I've added you Gywall, and Trapster, I've had you as my friend on MKW for aaages, when are you ever online? Also, by the looks of things, you've not been bothering with Time Trials, that's the only way to unlock some characters you know

I know. Gywall has told me that. But Waluigi is my favorite, anyway. And how do you guys get to 7k that easily. I´m getting back and forth from 6.1k and 5.8 or whatever.

What karts do you use? I know Gywall uses Twinkle Star. Me too but I need to become better with it. Any suggestions?

Try out everything. The standards handle quite well, they just drift less to how I like when racing. I tried out the Wario bike, and could control it. Tried Twinkle Star on unlocking, could use it. Unlocked Torpedo, and couldn't control the drift.

Speaking about drifting and stuff. If you´re used to long drifts, don´t go for the Mach bike next. Big mistake. I tried it out with Yoshi and kept turning into walls because of different handling.

I like Wario Bike and Twinkle Star the most, I think.

Online It's the Bullet bike and Dry Bones. It may be easier to barge him off the course, but that's only if anyone can catch me. Offline against the computer it's Funky Kong with the Bowser bike. He's almost unstoppable against the comp.
My TT times have been made using TOad on the Bullet bike, but that's before I unlocked Dry Bones.

I haven´t unlocked Funky Kong, Dry Bones and whatever. Does the Bullet Bike have good handling?

American here...

So does it have a button-delay reaction like in SSBB online? Or does it feel fine playing online. Is it comfortable?

I'm a mario kart veteran, and I want to ind some challenges when it comes out...

The Bullet has extremely good handling, well at least it does on Automatic, I've not got the hang of Manual yet. As for not unlocking Funky Kong or Dry bones, that's what Time Trials are for

Online? It's very smooth, with hardly any lag so far. THis might change once the AMericans come online though, I'm not sure. It's very comfortable playing online. Seamless in fact. I love the fact it shows you where your opponents are from when you first log on and also you get to watch the race they're in so you can study their form. It's the best Nintendo Online experience I've ever had.

You can´t get maximum boost from mini-turbos you you have it on automatic. I always drive with manual.

I know, and eventually that'll hinder my progress in Time trials but I find Automatic suits me fine online and against the comp

As for when you´ll find me online, that´d be during the night or during some days. If you beat me on automatic, I gotta try it myself. But since I´ve always used manual it might be a bit tricky to get used to?

I haven't actually had a chance to play this yet, so what I'm really curious about is Battle Mode.

Every Mario Kart after MK64 had absolute trash of a battle mode and I'm wondering if it's any good now.

10 Battle Stages. 5 new ones and 5 retro stages.

It´s definitely better now than it was before. New fun weapons and stuff too.

Is it possible to play a one vs. one vs. one vs. one like in the N64 version or is Online Battle Mode limited to team battles?

All battles are team.

Thanks.

Well, that sucks, I've always played solo and would like to remain like that, so that basically will kill Battle Mode for me.
