So, the game was released last week. As most people know already, the Sonic games these days have been going downhill lately. However, I've been hearing some positive things about it like the final level of the game.

Who else has this game? I'm thinking of getting this game once I have a Wii after what I've been hearing so far.

I don't really play console games that much anymore, but I think this game looks cool

My reveiw:
It's not the best in the world but is a step in the right direction for SEGA.

Fun factor: Great fun but there are only like 7 levels in it.

Replay value: There are some mini multi player games so yeah... and you have a ton of missions to complete in each of the levels so you'll be playing for a while.

Controls: could be better but I'm not complaining

Soundtrack: just as annoying as Rush's, but then again, Just as good.

Graphics: Better than what you'd expect from the Wii games you've seen so far. It actually caught me by suprise when I played.

This is only my expirience playing it my at friends for 2 hours. I need to get the game myself. But yeah, worth the buy but I'm gonna' wait for a used copy.

I got this game and it makes me want to vomit. I am a huge Sonic fan but this game to me seems like it was made for another character but the decided to shove Sonic in again. I was hoping for game play like the Sonic Adventure series, but instead what they did was make is a game where you are constantly running and don;t have much freedom on what to do or where to go. The storyline doesn't seem very good to me (in what kind of Sonic game do you go inside a book?) and I didn't really like the cut scenes. I would much rather buy a collection of Sonic games (like Mega Collection or Gems Collection) then wast $60CAN on this game. For a hardcore Sonic fan who has been playing Sonic games ever since they came out probably won't like this game, it's to different (even more different than Sonic Heroes which was already a bit of a stretch to me). All of the trailers made this game look okay but the never really showed the cut scenes or how after every level you get Exp, WTF!

Anyway I'm really mad at how this game turned out and I was hoping it might be like the Sonic the Hedge Hog game for the Ps3 and 360 because I don't have those systems.

Sorry about the rant but I've been carrying this on my chest ever since I got the game yesterday. It was good to get it off.

I heard Sonic the Hedgehog for the 360 and PS3 is worse.

Anyway, after reading your post, I'm starting to lean towards renting the game first before buying it. I've done this with a few of the other Sonic games that were recently released and I don't regret renting them first.

Maybe it was but it looked like it had the same gameplay style as Sonic adventure 1 & 2 which I like. Although after this I guess I should of learned that just because something looks good doesn't mean it is good...especially with a Sonic game

In my opinion, the last good (non-portable) Sonic game was either Sonic Adventure DX or Sonic Heroes.

I still haven't played Sonic 360 or Sonic and the Secret Rings, so I can't comment on those...

I've seen mixed reviews for the game but more positive than negative. Apparently it's not *great* but it's fun, which is something that's been sorely missing from past 3D Sonic games. :\

It seems to be a step in the right direction, basically. I'll definitely be checking it out... WHENEVER I FIND A WII.

I agree with you there. Sonic Heroes - aside from the really annoying voices - was surprisingly a very fun and difficult game, and it was probably the only 3D Sonic that many liked (well, Sonic 3D Blast, but thats old news now )

SEGA needs to start stepping up or giving up

I haven't played it yet, but it'll be one of my titles that I'm gonna buy. I've read the Sonic X VAs finally are getting things right, and now Sega Team is ditching them... WTF? I prefer one set of voice actors to one for the game and one for the show. They could get a new voice for Shadow, he sounds too monotone, unlike the SA2 Shadow, who was like a darker Anakin Skywalker. Seriously, the voices are similar!

Back on topic, this game seems fun, because of all the minigames. There's also so many missions for each level, it'll keep going for a while.
