I've seen quite a few vids of it on YouTube. Some vids have the most random characters ever.

What an awesome concept M.U.G.E.N. is. I've even seen some independent games that use a M.U.G.E.N. engine and custom chars. Another game that reminds me of the spirit of M.U.G.E.N. is Card Sagas Wars.

Man, I would love to take a crack at MUGEN, if only to finally create the characters ONscreen that we played using the Street Fighter tabletop roleplaying game. My personal favorite was my own PC called JRev. This guy (drawing by me):

And his cool assed alternate uniform:

Granted, at the time I had created the maneuvers wallpaper, he hadn't earned all his Super Moves quite yet. The basic idea for the character: Johnny Revotti was born paralyzed from the legs down. His parents were working on a control system for Shadoloo's survaillence/combat robots. What they wound up creating is a nanobot network that mirrored and augmented the human central nervous system. It recording sets of impulses, repeating and correcting those impulses so that their son could walk.

Shadoloo went on to use a different system for their cyborgs, so the scientists were enlisted by Joseph Monarch (our campaign's Big Boss). Then they completed the system, supposedly to cure their infant son's paralysis. Unbeknownst to them, Monarch was using the nanosystem to copy and repeat the moves of Street Fighters so that ordinary people could be programmed with fighting moves instead of training years to acquire them. Johnny Revotti got the Prime nanobots just before the scientists shipped him away to begin his life. Later, Monarch made 100 fighters with the usable nanobots that remained before the replications decayed them to nothing.

JRev is a superbike themed fighter, which is what he did before taking up street fighting. I thought that would be kind of neat, and I'd imagined many times how he'd look and play in a real game. Probably using one of those speedy but low damage types with lots of annoyingly unpredictable combos and quick strike speed.

I also made pics of several other Street Fighter characters we designed and roleplayed. I had a database containing all the moves and stuff, but it was lost when my computer tanked...
