Another case of me-having-too-much-time-on-my-hands!

http://ooburns.cjb.net/layout/index.php

I was bored and felt like coding the other day...

I started thinking about the layout maker that some people use now and then and how it always spits out much more code than necessary, and decided to make my own semi-optimized version. The code it generates is more or less optimized, meaning there's not a whole lot of stuff you can delete and still have the layout look the same.

If you use it and find any bugs, let me know.

Why is it acting weirdly? There's a lot of space...

You should add an option to link in a CSS file by URL (and potentially set the class name of the table framing the preview, considering they should be rather different between 1.x and 2.x) to allow to test it in an actual board environment.

It seems to not use CSS.

The code would be more optimized if it did.

External CSS file support wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm not quite sure how I would set the class name of the table to differ between 1.x and 2.x... I guess I'm just not quite understanding what you're saying.

And unless you're making a distinction between styles and .css files, pieguy1372, it does...

In my opinion, if you want a layout, you code it yourself! :]

I think the same, though I took a look at it and it looks nice. ;P

<table width=100% height=300px bgcolor=#CCCCCC><tr><td align=center width=100% height=100%><table width=95% height=90%><tr><td class="layout56">

</td></tr></table></td></tr></table>
That doesn't look like CSS to me.

That doesn't look like CSS to me.

Every time, I create a layout using your layout creator when I put the code in my profile. It doesn't work.
