Rarest things I have are both for the NES. They would be Bible Adventures, and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York. Both crappy games my parents bought for me when I was 5.

How could I forget that I have a prototype of SMB 2.
It's like Doki Doki panic, but with Mario characters instead.

Hehe, weird, I traded that game in too couple months ago along with all my other N64 stuff. Was it rare? I never figured it was.
I have a couple SNES games, are they rare?

F-Zero, Pilotwings, Super Return of the Jedi, Battletoads in BattleManiacs, Demons Crest, DKC 1. I also have Dragon Warrior 1, 2, 3 for NES.

I also have Super Metroid and the official guide. Teh guide is teh win. I beat the game once before getting the guide, and I killed Draygon like any other boss - dodge, shoot the hell out of him, repeat until crispy. He was a pain in my ass, and it took me a few tries to get past him. The guide explained how to electrocute him with the aid of the grappling beam - a quick and easy process. I'm bummed that I didn't figure that out on my own, but it did make subsequent playthroughs less painful.

Demon's Crest and Battletoads in BattleManiacs are the most 'rare' ones on that list. The former is a popular trade-in and the latter is, well, mine was stolen for beethoven's 2nd :\

I remember there was a thread like this before and there was a website that had letter grades for a bunch of games based on rarity, but I can't for the life of me find it now.

It's similar to This.
My friend gave it to me before he moved. He never told me where he got it, or why he gave it to me.

Dragon Warrior I definitely is NOT rare since Nintendo gave away tons of copies as part of a Nintendo Power promotion. XD

DW2 is probably uncommon... 3 is rare, 4 is really rare.

I own a Dragon Warrior III cart. I rented it, thought it was awesome, wanted to buy it, and got all emo when I found out that it was out of print. I found some way to order it directly from Enix. Best $45 I ever spent.

One of our friends has Dragon Warrior IV. I wish he had some way to dump it for us because I never got to play it, and the ROM we have is corrupt.

Isn't there a rare version of Metroid Prime out there? According to metroid2002.com, there was a version released between the original release and the player's choice release. At one point I think I read that it was very hard to get. I don't own one but I'm just wondering.

I do have though the original version of Metroid Prime, the one with all the glitches intact. I love it.
I also have a non-Player's Choice version of SSBM. I doubt that's worth anything because everyone has the game but maybe since the version is the original and the player's choice version came along pretty fast (which most people have) it's worth a dollar or two more.

Hm... I have a "Borderline Rare" game on there: Rad Racer II, and Lunar Pool, which is "Uncommon". The rest of my NES games (SMB, Kung Fu, and Techmo Bowl) are not rare. At all.
