What are some rare games you own? I used to have a couple, but I sold all my games.

Only game I can remember is this.

Import Japanese version of Splatterhouse Part 2. It is my pride and joy. ^w^
Also have a bunch of PC Engine games. I am sure a few of them are rare by now.

Having a PC Engine is rare period.

Having TG-16 CD games are even better. Honestly, I'd kill to see just how good the Valis series was.

I have quite a few rare/unlicensed NES games. Bible Adventures, Cosmic Spacehead, etc.

The game itself isn't that rare, but something about it is...
I have a shrink-wrapped, unopened copy of EarthBound.
No, it's not for sale.

I have both PC Engine Coregrafx II and the PC Engine CD-ROM².
The Valis series is wonderful. Great gameplay and nice cutscenes.

I have a real copy of Kirby Super Star for SNES.

I don't know for sure, but I think that game was considered to be rare.

That's what I was afraid of.

I have no way of playing it. The SNES version is barely a comparison to what I've read.

Well there is always the option of burning the game onto a cd and playing it on the magic engine emulator. But yes, the PC engine version probably is the best. The intro movie is like 5 minutes long (though been a while since I have played it).

I didn't know what a decent PC Engine emulator was at the time that I gained a high amount of interest for it. I didn't have a way of burning them either so I attempt to mount the ISOs using Alcohol 120% and had issues with the emulator I used at the time.

Now that I know... :\

I happen to own a prototype of an NES game called Drac's Night Out. Guy who lives down the street from me made it for Parker Bros., but their license with Nintendo expired just before it was going to go to print.

I don't think I own any rare game here, but I've rented a few ... I just had no clue they were rare at the time

Like Tengen Tetris, Ogre Battle (SNES) and Kirby Superstar ... I think I've played on the TurboGrafx-16 twice, too ... then there was that time around 1990 when pirate NES games were all over the place, I remember playing SMB2j and some odd "Baby Mario" on the NES

Well I will say that KSS was in fact a game I owned as well and was also the most I've ever spent on any given game.

69.99 for a fscking copy. It's only worth 4 bucks now over at GameStop.

I have Kirby Super Star, too. It was my main Christmas request the year it came out, and I got months of entertainment out of it. I have also heard that it is rare.

It's weird to think we used to rent SNES games. I remember seeing games, that are hard to find now, on store shelves, and saying: "Oh, it's not Zelda, it sucks!"

I was dumb.

Earthbound. I ordered it off of eBay before Winter break, I believe. How much was it? ... Just $20... Plus $50.

I'm not sure if a Player's Choice version of A Link to the Past is rare... And I'm pretty damn sure Super Mario World is not rare.

Other games I'm unsure about are Super Mario RPG, Stuntrace FX, Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and 3...

I'm doubting that most of these, if not all, are not rare.

Hmm...

- Actraiser
- Arc the Lad Collection Complete with Guide/Poster
- Breath of Fire III/IV
- Castlevania Symphony of the Night (original)
- Chrono Trigger
- EVO Search for Eden
- Final Fantasy Anthology / Chronicles
- Final Fantasy II/III (SNES)
- Illusion of Gaia
- Kirby's Superstar
- Legend of Mana
- Zelda Collectors Edition
- Zelda OoT Gold (1.0 I think?)
- Marvel vs Capcom 2
- Megaman X2/X3
- Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (yes)
- Secret of Mana
- Star Ocean the Second Story
- Streets of Rage 2
- Suikoden
- Super Mario All-Stars Original and +World
- Super Mario RPG
- Super Turrican
- Tactics Ogre The Knight of Lodis
- Thunder Force V
- Vagrant Story

I don't know. Those are some that stuck out on my list. Probably more could go on there. Some are more rare than others, etc. But those above aren't probably the easiest things to find thesedays, at least for cheap prices.

I've got Panic! on Sega CD

Somehow that game kept me enthralled back in the day. I wasn't even on drugs

Also Ys I&II on TG-CD was one of my xmas gifts, but I didn't have the CD player

In my experience, a TG-16 in general is rare to see. With it I've got Legendary Axe, Dungeon Explorer, Alien Crush, Neutopia, and of course Keith Courage in Alpha Zones.

Zelda OoT Gold (1.0 I think?)

I heard there is a heart piece on top of Kokiri Shop in that version. Is it true?
