Anyone remember this game? It was done like Civilization, but is in the (relativity near) future on a planet near Alpha centauri.
While the micromanagment annoys me, especially how after a certain point in the game you can reach insane growth (and potentially extreme smallpox if you can bother with it)... it still feels like one of the more unique turnbased strategy games. The AI is a bit weak too... even at the hardest difficulty it still is somewhat easily beaten if you know the game mechanics well. Sadly it's a bit old game... and while some people don't see that as a problem, I do. The game can be a bit buggy on modern computers, things like Multiplayer doesn't work too well (I had to create a VPN to even get it working at all!). There was a fork of Freeciv that was going to implement mechanics from Alpha centauri apparently, but it didn't go anywhere. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
