Bah, it's probably that stupid MySQL query that needs updating... I'll try and fix it soon, just remind me on IRC if I forget

On the other hand, is it possible to fix the posts that are truncated after the first non-ASCII character?

I don't think that's possible, as I think they're really truncated (and hence, gone forever)

Give me some examples

Most of Trapster's posts and posts with the word "Pokémon" in it, etc.

Yeah, you can only see small parts of them. The rest is empty.

These ones break at the apostrophes. Some of the more recent ones aren't broken though.

The apostrophe-broken ones are probably gone for good

Yay, broken MySQL dumping.

My username was spelled incorrectly here.

It was "Trunxy/Dogan" and "Dogan" and "Jin Dogan". Make me staff again.

Another thing I'm noticing in the second archive is that the ACS rankings (for instance, in the August 2004 ACS thread) cause the tables to break and most of the rankings are gone. This could be just another manifestation of the truncation though.

It is. The unicode (I'm guessing) "--" character probably breaks it.

Sigh.

Yeah, looks like we lost the 2004 and 2005 ACS rankings (unless they're stored somewhere else). By the way, is any of the ACS information from the "lost" period (Nov 2003-Mar 2004) on file anywhere? I noticed the top 3 for those months was on the wiki...

EDIT: When I made this post, on the "Posted!" page I got a huge "Warning" that I was unable to copy-paste.

What about the Winter 2003 mosts? Does anyone have it archived on their hard drive?

I had several screenshots saved from the ONO spree era of syndromes and such, but I forgot to save them to CD when I reformatted my hard drive in June 2004. Don't you hate when something like that happens?

Sounds like a mistake I would make. I think of winter as beginning the year rather than ending it...after all (in the northern hemisphere) more of winter is at the start of the new year than at the end of the old. So "Winter 2004" makes me think of December 2003 to March 2004.
