No rush; the judges should take the time to judge as fairly as they possibly can.

But that doesn't change human nature; I can't help being impatient. Do you guys have any estimates as to when the judging might be done. It would be nice to know.

But again, take your time...

I downloaded them all (apart from Sukasa's, which I will obtain as soon it's up) and *shrug*.

Give me a weeks at least, thou hopefully I will be able to do it rather quickly.

Just out of curiosity, are there any favourites sticking out at the moment (as in worth having a look at)? I don't really want to go through all the submitted levels based on the horrible things I heard about some of them...

Mountain Heights, Flight of the Yoshi, and Ninji Fortress are the best ones. I liked Mountain Heights the most, though I scored Flight of the Yoshi higher because "fun" is only worth 10 points on this scale. If there's any I'd absolutely recommend, it'd be Mountain Heights. If there's any you should absolutely avoid, it's Shellkicker Cavern. The unnamed ones and A Night in the Woods are also pretty poor.

Another one not to play is Sukasa's.

Yeah, I completely forgot that the working ROM it came from has the timer disabled.

In other words the level is too long for it's timer ._.

A similar thing happened to me once, I was testing a level that was entered through an external test level with a bigger time limit, and then when I distributed it to my beta testers they complained about the time limit... :O

Really?! I thought Shellkicker Cavern was one of the best ones, if by "avoiding it" you mean because it's extremely hard, then I agree with you, but I think the harder ones are the better ones. The one I think is the bad one is "A night in the woods"

Jeez, all these posts I'm reading really make me feel good.

Anyway, I look forward to reading your reviews of my level: A Night in the Wood [sic].

Yeah, the thing is that you're a bloody fool who has no idea what he's talking about. There really is a difference between "hard" and "goddamned awful." It's an utterly craptastic level with no redeeming features. If you like it, you are wrong. I don't care if it's your opinion, your opinion is wrong. And you gave it 50, what the bloody hell

I agree. Shellkicker Cavern was unfair, though the setups it had were well thought out. Most of the unfairness came from the lack of a reset system to fix something if you messed it up. D:

EDIT: The highest score I've awarded so far is 48/50. Try to guess which one earned it! ;D

EDIT 3: False alarm. Nothing to see here.

I'd say they were well-thought-out if they didn't periodically just make you die. Like this!

Well, I'm really hoping it's Mountain Heights, but if it's Ninji Fortress or Flight of the Yoshi I won't be too disappointed.

Strange...

The ROM I used worked for all the other ones, and upon patching with Lunar IPS it gave me an error.

Maybe I should try redownloading it. *runs to download again*

EDIT: Yes, redownloading worked.

EDIT 2: Done judging, the highest score I gave is still 48/50. The lowest score I gave, on the other hand, is 14/50. :o

Oh come on, you totally did that on purpose. Actually, I didn't ever think of trying that.

So, I'm kind of glad my level is so polarizing. Yes, it's difficult. Yes, maybe I could have included some more reset pipes. But I don't think it's "worst level EVER" or anything close. Even if I don't win (which I most likely won't at this point), I'm still enjoying the responses. Good luck to the other entrants!

Bai~

Whatever...I guess I screwed everything up here. I'll just quit as a judge so I don't screw up anything else. So please remove my results. I'm gonna stay far away from judging contests from now on.
