Freeciv

It's a clone of Civ II, but way better balanced for multiplayer.

Games don't take too long as well, something along the lines of 3-6 hours.

Thinking about setting up a server rather soon (maybe tonight even).

Either way, I already considered what settings to use for said game.

Seems like I make it a Regicide game (finding every last city can be painful otherwise, and only draws out the game), and a donut shaped map.

Could always give you handicaps. Let you ally together with another weak player in a team from the start or something.
