I think that being able to close your own thread is a good idea. This way, if your debate thread turns into a big flame war, you can close it instead of waiting for a mod to come (which may take a while in some cases).

By the way, a post is not human, it's a post, but its content was made by a human though not human.

You have completely missed the point of the internet.

Go back and try again?

Y/N

Why would someone think that just because they started a thread, they have any ownership over it?

QFT

No such thing as owning ideas. That's just a flawed concept.

And it can be especially bad if the thread is actually going fine, but into a direction the orginal thread poster isn't agreeing about.

Prefer that the original thread poster have to send a PM to a full mod and state the reason. If it's good enough, the admin should close it.

Since admin are compulsive posters, they're always on anyways.

Or maybe there could be some sort of request thread closed form. You'd state the reason and a staff member could close it if it's a satisfactory reason.

We had that in a old incarnation. It was nice, since any staff member with the right power could handle the issue. Only issue was that it was rather... hacked into that board.

We do sleep at least five hours a day.

On average. So that means you and Alastor get at least 1 hour sleep each, and Cirvante and NSNick mostly sleep 9.
