If you're used to the cellphones noise you can eventually tune in to the entire conversation. So be careful when on your cellphone around one of us.
Also if you have the right kind of stereo, not even sure how this works BTW. But my stereo is capable of pulling CB radio signals out of the air when it is off. Yes, you read that right, when it is off. The longest range I've heard so far was 5 miles. ____________________ What FF7: Advent Children Character Are You? |

I have something like what SNN says, sometimes, for seemingly no reason, I hear a high-pitched noise for maybe 1/2 - 1 1/2 minutes, and then it just goes away. It rarely happens(maybe 1-2 times a week), but when it does, I say "Oh here it comes again" Although hearing what other people have, I'm torn between being glad I don't have to deal with annoying noises, and wishing I had it. Being able to tell when it's going to rain and if a TV is on would be cool, but annoying noise... I don't know whether I'd rather have it or not. ____________________ There are things I want to put here. Like a cool picture, my 8-bit theatre character test result, my MS and RO characters... But it's 12 AM, and I'm sleepy. |

Posted by Koitenshin +∞Radio is weird. I've had strange things pick up radio stations, such as the innards of a tape player while turned off. My dad's old car stereo could pick up some TV stations' audio too. |

And I can't even get a station that's 10 km away without all kinds of crackly static. At least I couldn't yesterday. I don't listen to terrestrial radio very often though. |

It's not surprising. All this stuff is broadcast through the air, so it just makes sense that there will be some cross-contamination.
As for the radio that picked stuff up while it's off... that's just a bit weird. |

Posted by Kles It was off but still plugged into the wall. I'm guessing the internal magnetics had something to do with it. ____________________ What FF7: Advent Children Character Are You? |

You don't need electricity to make a radio. Most of the internals are responsible for tuning and amplification. The first radios didn't use electricity, but required an earpiece because they were extremely quiet. |

Is it true that some people have received radio signals through their braces and/or fillings, causing them to hear music/talk in their heads? Or is that impossible? |

Quite possible, I believe, but I'm no expert. |
