Do any of you have this?
Electrosensitivity is an unusual sensitivity to electromagnetic waves. For normal people, things like cell phones don't hurt their ears, but for me, it burns, tickles, and/or irritates my ear to use them. Furthermore, whenever a television, computer, etc. is on, I get high-pitched tinnitus. The more powerful it is, the louder the tinnitus. I can even track computers and such through walls with it. (Although if one is in the same room as me it makes such nearly impossible to do.) This is probably just one of many things to do with it, as it may explain why I prefer to avoid television (it creates a rather harsh and annoying tinnitus) and yet stay near computers (which are nearly inaudible with tinnitus), and yet hate cell phones like the plague. |

I have little use for a cell phone...pretty much all my friends are online and I don't want to pay hefty international per-minute rates just to be able to talk to them while I'm in the bathroom, when I can talk to them on AIM for free. |

Yeah... I can usually hear the electricity running through the walls in places with lots of stuff.
The other night, our house had a power outage... It was really... creepy silent. Ive pretty much grown used to that highpitched whining from nowhere. ____________________ |

I don't hear anything high pitched or anything like that. But, like Ice Penguin said, I can hear electronic devices that aren't making sound, etc. |

electrosensitivity? No... I've never had a problem with cell phones or anything. Though I can hear the high-pitch of computers and TVs just fine.
I do have some pretty distinct tinnitus though (though I've only seen the word today). Oddly enough, it seems to get worse when it's quiet; silence can be literally deafeningly loud to me. |

I never feel pain, but I usually hear the high pitched squealing at random times, and it's rather irritating.
I can conclude I am a bit, if at all, electrosensitive. ____________________ Want custom overworld music in your SMW hack? Download this. Don't forget to RTFM. |

Having intense videogame sessions, sometimes gave me a headache in the past. But only when i'm playing multiplayer it can be noted.
I think cell-phones are usually overrated, but then I guess it's all commercials that is just making me frown. :/ And once while I was over to my grandfathers, everyone but him complained about the high-pitched sound his monitor was making. xD ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Just a quick note: I always sleep with music because of the noises.

Eh, it's actually normal that ears aren't able to hear high-pitched sounds when the ears wears down. Really loud sounds, or other stress to ears wears them down alot. And some people are just born that way. :/ ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by DarkSlaya I have to sleep with a fan. I can't get sleepy without the humming sound. It keeps my mind from traveling around the world. |

I can hear most high-pitched noises except cell phones. I can hear my DS when it's turned on with the volume off, but the sound doesn't seem too high-pitched. It's really irritating when my laptop and TV are off and all the noises seem louder. |

I'm really, REALLY sensitive to certain annoying sounds. Some examples:
- TV sets - Hard drives (I had to move my nice computer down to floor level because one of the hard drives whines at juuuuust the right frequency to drive me bonkers) - Vibrating/humming fans and computer cases (especially when they fluctuate between loud and quiet in a pattern) - Buzzing speakers - Bubbling water (those 3D fish screensavers are TERRIBLE) Pretty much anything that softly whines, buzzes, or hums will drive me nuts. I've gone to great lengths to silence my computers, including shoving foam under them, moving them around, tightening every visible screw, and even replacing all the fans. All I hear right now is the sound of rushing air. One notable exception to the humming rule is my personal fan/heater...I can't sleep without it sitting right next to my head. I feel very alone without it. ____________________ [citation needed] |

Some sounds drive me nuts although I don't think it's electrosensitivity. In particular, when this computer arbitrarily decides it needs to read the CD when I'm doing something that has NOTHING to do with the CD drive, such as posting at Acmlm's. My CD drive is extremely loud and I've gotten to the point where I just remive the CD if I'm not using it right now. |

I can hear what I suspect might be electricity if it's completely silent in the room. I can hear TVs too; even if they have no indication of actually being on (blank screen, no sound etc) I can tell they're on by the sound.
I can feel when a lightning storm is building up too, or when it's about to rain sometimes. |

Sometimes when my light is turned to a certain amount of dimness, I hear this distinct ringing in my ear. And back when cell phones where a new thing, I used one and was getting dizzy, ringing in my ear, and feeling like I was going to puke. |
