So I found this FPS maker last night (Even though I am thoroughly experienced in Half-Life moding) and I was jotting down ideas.
*Sonicandfails gets shot down already No really listen! Imagine a FPS version of Cave Story with the Cave Story Remix Project music and some other remixes to fill the gaps! Bad idea right? It felt at the time like something neat, just a new way to play Cave Story. It wouldn't come out good anyways, but what are your ideas about it? ____________________ I miss post headers more. |

Posted by Xkeeper I agree. The uploader had better music. If you find 'tsukinota_trance.mp3' play the FSCK out of it. The FPS concept itself? Meh. It might do well as a DOOM WAD... ...actually, that in itself isn't a bad idea for DOOM Legacy. |

I like the Cave Story Remix Project D:
It could be better, but I can't stand listening to the original ORG files for too long... The remix is easier on the ears, you know? A Doom WAD would be neat. Hmm... I never live up to my concepts anyways though, so I prolly wouldn't be able to accomplish it (That and I suck at art. I wouldn't be able to do the guns or anything) ____________________ I miss post headers more. |

Same with the Sonic 3 & Knuckles remix project. (There are some good remixes out there, but for some reason, all "remix projects" fail...) ____________________ I dealt with it. |

I think the reason remix projects suck is the same reason lots of music albums suck: you'll have a couple stellar songs (if that) and the rest just feel like filler.
I actually like a bit of the Cave Story one, but the only songs I actually REALLY liked from the S3+K one were Braincells' and Snappleman's. The Sonic 2 one was downright horrible but that was from when most of the people working on it were new to arrangement as far as I know. |
