I'm trying to make a video in Windows Movie Maker by combining two videos and a title. However, when I publish the movie, the videos show up squashed on the top half of the movie with green on the bottom, and only the title shows up correctly.

It shows up fine in Windows Movie Maker. Therefore, I assume it is a problem with publishing the movie.

What is going on?

You're using Windows Movie Maker, the shittiest movie editing software on the planet.

Didn't he... just say that?

Does the same thing happen when you try exporting in different formats?

Windows Movie Maker can only export in .wmv format AFAIK.

EDIT: I figured it out! Windows Movie Maker doesn't like my XVid codec, so I just unchecked the box that includes it.

This can be closed now.

While it may suck, you should have at least pointed out a alternative that he could use. Otherwise it's not like your comment would help his problem much.
