That doesn't mean they have to share them, especially if they are next to useless in any aspect.

Stop being a dick. If you don't like someone's opinion, then don't post. They can share them if they damn well please, especially since it doesn't break any rules. They are encouraging the author, and that provides a meaningful purpose. And then there's people trolls like you, who only want to impede whatever goes on in here. If you want to contribute, by all means, go ahead. Don't be a smartass, just follow the goddamn rules.

Anyway, I found a really useful tool for you guys, especially for those who like to visualize before you hack:Isometric Graph Paper.

Just pick Isometric Graph Paper from the list. I use 1/5" size, because you can obviously fit more on the paper. I recommend that everyone use this for their hacks, even when they don't feel it necessary. You'll see that it provides much insight when you actually (finally) get into the editor and start working.

Well, sorry for trying to improve this place's post content. I personally think that it could be spruced up around here.

And fuck graph paper.

Criticism and blind worship is one thing, but I think that, for the decision between off-topic posting and blind worship, the scale is tipped in favour of the latter a bit in my opinion.

Anyway, Omega, could you give a breakdown as to why that took a whole hour to complete, or would even take 20 minutes for somebody more accustomed to the process? This sounds like you are in dire need of rectangle tools and/or an option to store and recall frequently-used tile groups (like houses).

The reason it took an hour is because the Paste function was broken, and I also built the Physical layer (not shown in that picture), which I had almost no experience with (Giangurgolo wrote it).

Alright, this is ridiculous. Do not fucking post if you don't have anything to contribute to the thread, or otherwise have nothing more to post than a half-line opinion... This is a known rule

What I'm really interested in is what ASM hacks are going to spring out of all this sudden interest. Can people say MOAR party members?

At least you got one thing right while posting this, is that you actually contributed to the thread!

Well, as far as ASM hacks goes, if people are smart enough to figure out ASM, the ideas out there are pretty cool. Usually. I personally would like to see a new stats system. Recalculating everything to match the ASM changes made would mean a helluva lot more work than the ASM code itself...

Edit: "Preview" button would have been the best way to go here...

Can you change what is saved in the RAM? I want it so it actually saves the levelups, so there can be a fix in that infinite Starman trick.

Good level design is a great remedy for bugs like that. The code is not at fault, it's the designers.

well couldn't you make no save points and tell the players to use save states at the beginning so they know not to turn off the game without saving cuz that always sux. o.0

Learn a couple things, kthx.

1. Savestates are for the weak. No hack should force the use of savestates.
2. typing long sentences like this without breaking them up or providing any kind of seperation between complete thoughts is ugly we call this run-on sentences.
3. "sux" is not an English word.

doesn't mean it isn't a word in some other language. i believe that if its said its a word. sux is in the english dictionary because its the pronunciation. and cuz isn't a word either but you didn't point that out.

What I meant is that using proper English will make you seem smarter.

Proper English will make you seem smarter. Bush talks like he repeated kindergarten thrice and he's the leader of the free world. He's about as smart as an armless boxer. That proves your point. However, you have an excellent orator selling people total bullshit and they buy it just because it seems smart. Look at Intelligent Design. That's not even a theory. It's been scientifically disproven. Yet people believe it because of the way it's being sold. Need another example? Scientology. If you judge a person's intelligence merely on the way they express themselves, you might as well only read books with colorful and intriguing covers. On the other hand, I do share in your opinion. Stop raping the language, people. Learn some proper grammar and spelling. This forum supports frigging spellcheck á la Word. You see them red dots under your word? That's not a pretty highlighter. That's a "correct this word, stupid" flag.

Anyways, back on topic.

Great job as always, Giangurgolo and Omega. Can't wait for the final release. The editor looks great and it's obviously going to allow a lot of flexibility in hacking SMRPG. Of course, it's gonna take a while to get a hang of, but what editor doesn't in the beginning, right?

I think the best way to appreciate it even more is if you release a demo game along with it, much like FuSoYa's SMW hack with Lunar Magic. Seeing hacks is what got me into hacking in the first place. Then again, examples of maps and custom monsters also adds flavor to the mix. Keep up the excellent work! Mad props!

Improper English will get you a warning much faster than proper English, too.

Also, whether 'sux' is word in another language or not (it isn't), we promote Proper English-UK or English-US speak here, other languages, of course, welcome.

Also, any news on LS? I'm quite interested in how development is going for you guys

Well, all I am doing right now is familiarizing myself with it so that I can prepare guides for easy (or easier) use. Something this big needs to be well explained.

So basically what you're saying is that once it is released, the board shall be flooded with "how do i edt levels??!!?!?!" threads. =/
