But why's that exactly? Not the editor, I'm sure...

Posted by XerussPosted by Omega45889 That's not bad. Right now it just patches the currently loaded image, however no changes are made to the file on disk until you save. The problem with it automatically copying and renaming the rom is what happens when you want to apply multiple patches to the same image? Sure it could be done like that, but I recon it would be quite annoying. You can specify that a patch must be applied to a verified fresh rom image. This is to prevent people from patching roms that will just stop working, and the resulting "what version do I need to use?" posts. Also, I want the server to become more than just a hack server. It would be awesome if people started making little assembly hacks and shared them with everyone via the server. Im sure people do stuff like that all the time and just don't have an easy way to share it. |

Can you edit anything related to music? I would like to at least slow down/speed up soundtracks, make them echo, fade in or fade out, and change the instruments they use. ____________________ Layout by Erik557 & LDA.

You can control the music playback by editing events, but you cant edit any of the tunes. Its really the only thing you cant edit. |

Still looking forward to this release guys. I'm a bit bummed that it looks likes I'll have to squeeze it in when the semester starts, rather than play around with it all day, but hey, it'll be worth it. I'm not particularly a fan of the game, but I've an idea for a hack since this was first announced :3 |

Posted by Celice Who isn't. I mean, an editor that's edits EVERY (well almost every) aspect of the game. There's gunna be plenty of good hacks coming from this editor alone... |

I think your looking at the hacks that are going to be produced in a very "the glass is one-tenth full" perspective. Given the amount of dedication to complete a custom RPG and the number of community members who only tinker around with something for a few hours before calling it done, I think chances are much higher that there's going to be plenty more bad hacks from this editor alone. ____________________ |
