First off, hey guys. Nice to meet you all.
Anyway, I'm experiencing some difficulties using the .dsc file that came with the PipeInstaller program (it's the application that automatically does the hex part of installing the SMB3 screen-scrolling pipes; leaving the user to apply the IPS patches and all that). The pipes work wonderfully. The only problem is that I have to reference the DSC file itself to know which tiles to put where, because all of them have the "cement box that Mario can't walk through" message when I hover the cursor over them in the Map16. Before anyone asks, yes, the ROM and the DSC file are named exactly the same and are together in the same directory, along with ZSNES and of course Lunar Magic. mario.smc mario.dsc Not really much room for error. I feel silly for complaining about such a small issue, but if there's a solution to this, I'd be grateful to anyone who would help me find it. I did look through help files and readmes, but they didn't seem to address this specific problem. I did a bunch of Google searches too. |

Eh, it makes things easier having everything in one place.
Anyway, I've restarted LM as well as my computer many times. I think that there might be a problem with the dsc file itself. Should I upload it? On second thought, maybe I'll try replacing my LM with a different version... |

If you had read the readme ...
========================================= 7)Using the DSC Rename Pipes.dsc to the same name as your ROM, but with the DSC extension. Then put it in the same directory as your ROM. WARNING: The DSC gets erased when using Blocktool, so keep a spare. Once again, not my problem. ========================================= |

I did read the readme, and that's how I knew to rename the dsc file to the same name as my ROM, but of course with .dsc at the end.
The problem, once again, is that Lunar Magic isn't recognizing the dsc file, even though it and the ROM have the exact same name, but different extensions. |
