You would rather be blind than deaf because of curiosity? Are you out of your mind? What if it sucks?
And, David Suzuki is awesome, I agree. One smart sob. |

Posted by Remnic The Hedgehog So you'd rather drive while blind? If you were about to get hit by a car or a train while driving, would you see it before you would get hit??!?! the most dangerous thing my brother ever did as a driver that was directly caused by his lack of hearing was his alarm was set off and he was literally driving across the highway with the alarm blaring. the most dangerous thing a blind person would do as a driver? NOT SEE OTHER CARS |

I imagine deaf people aren't tempted to fiddle with a radio on the road and are a bit safer in that sense
some cars flash lights if an emergency vehicle is nearby or something it's illegal to drive deaf in a lot of countries though this has been yd on deaf driving, thank you ____________________ |

Posted by interdpth Of course. A better question is what they dream about. They never see anything, so are their dreams technicolor? ____________________ "This Island Earth can be yours, if The Price is Right!" -Tom Servo |

blind in left eye, deaf in right ear.
this way its split, i can still listen to ANTHRAX yet still program. plus most single ear headsets nowadays, atleast as sold in my town, either are for left ear or either, due to people being used to ambient noise with their right ear. With "Cochlear" bionic implants its much easier to be deaf than blind, since bionic ocular implants don't work very well, most having low res as either on or off stimulus in a small grid, while Cochlear implants reprogram the brain using re-digitized synthetic audio wired directly into the neurons in the inner ear and is often mistaken as simply being a blue-tooth ear piece. With "Cochlear" bionic implants however it is spelled, they are basically hardwired with the hardware itself being as good as anyone would ever need for the rest of their lifespan, and the firmware is upgradeable up to 64GB of memory i think, i may be wrong on that tidbit. It comes prepackaged with 64MB of *firmware* space. The implant itself is permanent and cannot be removed once inserted with surgery, however the upside to the Cochlear Bionic Hearing Implant is that it will most likely never go obsolete during one's expected lifespan. ____________________ NIHYFDTTMWTMR |
