The problem isn't so much with the lyrics being explicit (who except for the religious crowd really cares about that nowadays anyway?) as with them being uninspired and bland; besides, many songs are a catastrophe from a purely musical point (and I'd say this one actually isn't all that bad, comparing with some others, in that regard).

Talking about American music.

About the explicit details in songs, not ALL songs are like that

. I listen to American bands that are actually GOOD music, with people singing normal lyrics and crap. Also, about Never Gonna Give You Up, it was a lovely song. I listen to it often because it's a good song. There's nothing wrong with it.
