Sounds, surprisingly, are in MP3's and WAV's, so I can easily access them.
The hard part is, sections of sentences are usually separated into separate files for some unknown reason. For example, Dr. Breen's first Breencast file starts off with only "Welcome, welcome to City 17". ____________________ RAEG |

Judging from some closed-caption errors in the console, I'd say that's because you can only associate one 'dialog' of captioning with a given sound effect - thus, multiple files / one per dialog of... dialog,. |

I like the dialog system used in later games such as TF2 or L4D. L4D even pulls of some small conversations between the charcthers after a certain event had happened, and there's enough variations of it.
