Well, an admin panel may serve to centralize things like adding forums that don't fit anywhere else. If they put all the admin functions in the page header, that could turn out to be one hell of a page header.

I agree with you on deletion, although we probably could delete members with 0 posts after a couple months if we're concerned with database space. Acmlm's has historically been very good with avoiding overdeletion though, most boards delete threads at the drop of a hat...

IP Search | IP Bans | User Del | Actionlog | Photo Album Mgmt. | Registration Control | Misc.

Yeah, panels exist for a reason.

As a side note, yes, I'm well aware that Jesper slipped and nuked 2k monies accounts. I try and be carefulw ith my queries...

Past that, honestly, a lot of things could be redone like the Photo Album to be MySQLized (and have more than one photo and a better system for showing them than checking if N files exist).

Ailure has " DB" access because he also runs TwilightRO with the hole, and hole isn't admin because he doesn't need to be

Point taken, but I think many of those could be spread out whether they are in a panel or not. eg. Photo album managment linked from the photo album, IP bans initiated from ipsearch or online users, etc..

The reason I asked was to know whether it was possible to manage the whole board from the board itself, without having to use PMA. So whether there is an actual panel or just admin page links everywhere, whatever... Although having both is preferable, in my opinion.

Admin panel to group all admin functions together.

Then seperate links for admin utilities on the pages they're used.
