What's with that BioShock game getting so much attention? The (granted, few) reviews I read about it were more of the lukewarm "it's nice, but eh, who cares" kind...

The only one out of those I have played is Portal, but I wholeheartedly support it gaining the category award...

Either way, link to source?

I got all the winners and shit from CNN. Yeah I couldn't believe BioShock got game of the year. It shocked me..big time.

All of them expected winners. None of those results surprised me. DiRT and skate were probably the only two up there I didn't see winning any awards even though they were both really good.

I've seen platformers being grouped in that genre a lot lately, now that they aren't the predominant kind of game in console markets along with RPGs anymore...

Platform games stopped being common a few years ago. There was a time when every other game was a Mario 64 clone.

Dunno if you should call Orange Box a game. It's more of a pack with games. Not that I disagree it with it being the best PC game.
