When I show this on SMWC and Jul, why not here too?
I started with a Team Hack a while ago and many members joined. The progress is seen below.

Now this Thread is going to be updated.
Mattrizzle finished our Presents Logo and I must say, it looks nice:



I cancelled the ghost house level and started with a better level- Meta-Knight's Halberd level


The level "Projectile Panic" made by Boing. I changed it a little bit.


Sprites by smkdan (except Chain Chomp)

Here are songs that are made for our hack. You can just download the SPC but we maybe submit them after finishing our hack:

KSS-The Halberd (by MidiGuy)
PM-Shyguys Toybox (by MidiGuy)
PM-Lava Piranha Battle (by MidiGuy, original version by andres)

We could need someone or sometwo (lol) for sprite coding and ASM stuff. Comments and feedback would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that the chain chomp was coded by MiOr. I got it here. However, I remapped it to use less animation frames and use SP4.

Yeah, the original colour or alternatively a slightly lighter version of the shade of the grass on your map would work.

Also, just when one thought nothing in SMW hacking could surprise one anymore...

Well, the level did produce a bit of a "jungle-like" impression to me... the background half fits such a setting, and piranha plants seemed like something you'd encounter in the depths of a rainforest to me ever since I first saw them in YI.

The first screen shows of the YI Flower FG redrawn by Boing and the background I ripped yesterday and the second one was ripped by me in pure boredomness. I don't know what we could do with it though.

The redrawn YI flower FG is sweet; however, I think the background doesn't quite fit in terms of graphical style.

It's not easy to get each GFX working together but we try our best. Here are two new screens of my winter FG. I customized it with some new tiles so I can build the level more interesting.

The perspectives don't match, Buu-Huu. You can see the top of the ground, but not the blocks' tops. Also doesn't match the other levels very well - Projectile Panic has the standard front view, while the Halberd has a less exaggerated angle.

I never liked that kind of thing. It's still your choice though. I'm not gonna stop ya.

I everytime liked hacks where many styles are used. Maybe we replace the most GFX with 3-D GFX but I'm not sure. We must talk about that.

I really think that we should change the music for "Projectile Panic". It doesn't fit at all, and seems a bit repetetive and boring. Also, in the OW, the paths are too long, the grassland just transforms into water, and the only height change is one big long horizontal ridge along the whole thing.

Aside from that, we need to avoid style clashes, and the level done uses the original SMW Redrawn graphics...we'd need to change it if we were to use 3D graphics.
