I was going to test a thing for a mate on irc in super metroid. I open zsnes and load the rom. Title screen and crash. My computer crash kinda often but this time it is different. Now when I start the comp everything runs slower. And when I try to run IRC and some other programs I get bluescreen.

Do you think I need to format my hard driver? Or is it another way around this problem?

Have you installed any new hardware/software recently? Scanned for spyware, viruses, etc? Made any other system changes?

I'd recommend trying a system restore before you do anything as drastic as formatting you hard drive.

Worst case, your harddrive is dying and a reformat won't help, you would need to replace your HD. Unusually slow performance is usually a good sign of a oncoming HD crash...

Backup anything you can while you can.
