I thought we agreed on one in Moonedit pretty much, being the one with noob armies "From SMWCentral.net" lead by Smallhacker who turns out to be just a sockpuppet of the Drama Llama in the end (Gestahl-Kefka style) which, after a fierce fight, escapes making room for a possible sequel...

I'm not exactly sure about this, but I found a BG that may work for a title/intro screen (from a game called Magic Sword)

Also, I'm not even sure if you want ripped GFX in this hack, so this is just in case you do want it.



By looking at blackhole89's post near the beginning of the thread about the basic scheme, I assumed that this BG would work for this purpose.

If you want to use it, I can try to rip it; if you don't want to use it, just disregard this post.

Actually, in the original game it comes from, they are two separate layers, so I can just take off the whole cloud BG and either put a different one, or put a solid BG color.

Edit: I'll go ahead and rip it, just be sure to add me to the project members in the hack if you use it (if it's not too much to ask). Also, I can do level GFX rips if you want to use them, and I can do some ASM, such as custom sprites and blocks (if you want)

Quick question, what SMB3 pipes are we using? Those aren't FuSoYa's pipes from what I can tell. I wish they were also organized a bit better in the map16. They're rather haphazardly placed.

What would be the difference between using these pipes and FuSoYa's pipes?

I didn't find them too hard to use, even if they are rather... confusing with no description. A simple reference card of some kind would fix that problem though.

Yeah, somebody with some amount of pixel graphics skill should draw them up. (By the way, I'm strongly in favour of replacing the "smooth" standard SMW pipe graphics with something similar to the "rusty"/"cast iron" look of YI's.

Yeah, I just stuck some crappy GFX in there so that the corners woudl be somewhat recognizable and such

I support a GFX change for the pipes as well.

I saw the YI Piranhas on SMWC. Those are really nice. As for the background, that is realistic!

On the subject of pipes again, I'll support a GFX change for them. In fact, I'd made modified GFX pipes for my first hack but if we're aiming for a YI-ish style then they'd be no good.

I'm not volunteering to draw some though.
