But I refuse to listen to any SSBB theme until I gotten the game myself.

Hey, I like that level. Or at least the style on it. Needs to be longer defiantly. There's not too many layer 2 scroll related levels... and we need more castle/inside tower levels too.

The CGA level is, specifically, themed on Dwarf Fortress, which leaves us with coloured letters for the bestiary.

Here's a list of various fishes in Dwarf Fortress.

But yeah, most of the time monsters and animals in roguelike is represented by a single character. Dwarf fortress is no expection.

I totally agree. It has to be the most epic Smash Bros music I've heard ever.

Update from my end: <_> I haven't been working much of this at all. I've been hooked to playing Fire Emblem 7, La-Mulana, and IWBTG for a while now instead of hacking. I haven't even worked on my SM hack recently.

Very nice. One small problem is how the FG is transparent against the layer 3 BG too, but I can fix that with a bit of CGADSUB assembly magic, so it's not much of a problem.

Got any name for your level? If yes, enter it on the Wiki's Levels page; if not, do so as well, perhaps with ??? entered as a name. Thinking of one right away is preferable though.

Hehe, I like the transparent lava. Even if Lava isn't really transparent as far I know... it should make such lava levels less annoying to play.

...and while I want challanging levels, I don't like them too frustating.

I only made it transparent so that you could see the whole level in the screenshot, the MWL shouldnt be transparent.

I might sign up to do a couple of levels, maybe even some overworld. I've got a level in the works right now, actually. It's a very vertical in-tower level, fairly lengthy and somewhat difficult. There are a few oddities and it'll need a little bit of exGFX work to fix a few sprites, but when I finish it I'll throw it in here for your consideration
