I can hear them all too and I'm 18 years old. But they're not all that bothering now that I've heard them. I always thought it would've been worse. |

I listened to the mosquito ringtone and didn't hear it because my boyfriend happened to walk through right at that time and ask what the heck that noise was, and that it hurt his ears. He left, I played it again, and could barely hear it. >>;
I tried playing the pure sine waves, and didn't hear any of them. ... And this is when I realize that my shirt was pressed up against the speakers, blocking the sound. So I pulled it out of the way. And now my head hurts. D: Youch. |

I coulda sworn I replied to this...
Anyway, I can just barely hear the highest one. My hearing is fairly good, so I can hear my laptop and TV and DS, but not cell phones (didn't know they made noise). What's really annoying is that these high-pitched background noises seem to get really loud when it's quiet and I have everything turned off. |

I'm 26, and I could hear all of those quite well, except for 17959 Hz. That one I didn't so much hear as "sense," like NSNick said...it mostly made my ears hurt.
I'll try playing the last one on a better soundcard with my studio-style headphones, in case it makes a difference. ____________________ [citation needed] |

Danged lack of edit...
I did post in something like this. It was the thread about electrosensitivity. Ignore my replies. |

Hmm... was able to hear all of them.
Though I think something popped in my head. |
