First Sonic in Brawl, then all that other awesome stuff from the Ninty conference, and now this.

Today is a good day to be a Nintendo fan.

"Kirby Ultra Super Deluxe". They really need to work on their titles.

Pleaselettherebeextrastuffpleasepleaseplease

Ahem.

Kirby Super Star was always my favorite Kirby game, so I'll get it purely for that reason. Doesn't look like they're adding any new games that they're willing to show yet, though...

Umm... Does anyone have the slightest idea what that screenshot with the cards of the various bosses is all about?

Holy fucking shit, they're going to make a remake of the only good Kirby game.
KSS is still one of my favorite games ever, so I feel the need to buy a DS.

"Only good Kirby game?" There's never been a bad Kirby game!

If this actually comes out (and I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't), it's one more reason to make me consider getting a DS...

KDL3 sucked;
Kirby Dream Course or whatever sucked;
The GBA remake of the first Kirby game sucked. So did the first Kirby game;
Kirby Mirror whatever was Ok at best.
kirby Avalanche does not count for it was just the US version of Puyo Puyo.

Okay, I stand corrected.

I think Kirby's Dreamland 3 is fun, though, particularly with two players, and the original Kirby for Gameboy pales by comparison to the later games, since you can't copy enemies' abilities and all, but I'd still hardly say it "sucked."

I found it boring. Lack of abilities is just retarded.

they really dumbed it down, thinking that combining powers with your animal friends would make up for it. but only one character could use an animal at a time. graphics were charming at least

Kirby Mirror whatever was Ok at best.
I disagree. It was a larger game than Super Star, and I had more fun exploring the game world in it than I did in Super Star. It was missing a few of Super Star's better powers, but some of its own made up for it, and the bosses were all more than Super Star's bosses. It also had support for up to four players in its minigames and in the main game, instead of Super Star's 2. It required multiple copies, link cables, and systems, but this is the fault of the GBA as a system, not of Kirby & the Amazing Mirror as a game. I believe Kirby & the Amazing Mirror to be the best Kirby game, though Super Star is certainly second.

Yep.

...infact Kirby was just a placeholder character, that the creator decided to eventually keep. Kind of funny too, as some of the monsters are in the first game... but Kirby don't have any of his abilities. There's some powerups that give Kirby temporary power, I think it was supposed to be some chili dish. xD

There was SuperSpicy Curry, some sort of Mint Leaf, and a more powerful Mint Leaf for the blimp boss.

EDIT: And let's not forget the edible microphones.

KSS for DS. 'Nuff said. I'm buying it.

And knuck, Amazing Mirror was "Ok at best"? I beg to differ. That was my favorite Kirby game. Then again, I have my opinions, and you have yours.

Has anybody played this yet? The game did come out last month. I'm just wondering how it compares to Canvas Curse, otherwise known as the best Kirby game ever.

well...
Spoiler:
Galacta Knight in MetaKnightmare Ultra is a joke (hero call spam), but is a pain in the ass in TTA. Marx Nightmare (TTA Marx) is more of a joke.

also, this game is longer than the SNES original version. and the touch screen is a godsend in some parts (no longer a luck-based mission in The Arena's first boss - you can see what the first boss in the sequence is now).
