Yes, this is a shameless ripoff of an older thread. So what are you working on?

House renovations - It's official. We're getting about 1100 square feet (basically, the entire house except the kitchen) redone next month. We'll have white and black octagon and dot tile in the bathroom, Golden Nugget tile in the foyer, and hickory hardwood everywhere else. It'll be a hell of an improvement over pink wall to wall carpet and permanently grody sheet vinyl. We'll put a cushy area rug in the living room, but we haven't picked it out yet.

Writing - I'm technically working on a novel revision right now, but the inspiration just isn't there. Feh.

Reposting my current projects

- Recover all the VG music that I lost when I switched to Windows XP earlier this year. I've recovered over 500 songs out of 1,000. I finished this project two weeks ago. I've successfully recovered all the VG music I lost as well as adding new soundtracks to my collection

- YI hacking. Been making slow progress this past month.

- Make more DKC3 sprite sheets for TSR. I've really been slacking off on that project lately.

So yeah, I only have 2 projects to work on now.

That's all until I get a full-time job (which'll be sometime after the middle of March), then it's save up and get the fuck out.

lol blank cell
School:
- AP US History: Make my own DBQ
- English: Book project
- Other: Interview people

Home:
- Clean Room

Hobbies:
- Make my website better, or help a different one. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet.
- Finish my two music WIPs: Jungle Party (House) and Unnamed (Matrix style DNB)

I have a lot on my plate right now. I should probably put what's on top of the list in front of what's on bottom, but I'm not.

My Next Flash Animation

Very early days yet, but it's going well.

TAFE Shit
Current classes are covering beginner's stuff, so this is fairly easy so far.

NES Programming/Hacking: I created an Address Use Logger in FCEUXD SP and am working on a program that's built around a hex editor that can use the code/data logger, address use logger, and the debugger name files. The hex editor will come with an on-the-fly disassembler that helps you "guess" what the still unlogged portions of the ROM are. Afterwards, it will assist in producing a grand disassembly project file that lets you do a grand disassembly of the game (i.e. revert it as close to its source code as possible). I've implemented the address use logger in FCEUXD SP already and created some programs that can work with it. Now I'm working on setting up a hex editor and just learning the various things I would need to do to help set up this program. This is something I'm working on slowly and hope to finish for y'all.

I know the math.

If you learn the law we can join forces and become gods.

What could be so bad about working with tons of abstract symbols and concepts? Oh, and having to think really hard too. C'mon, it's fun.

As for my person projects--- finishing my Zelda 3 editor, finding a new car, finding a new job (in reverse order of importance.)

TinaSitter - working with the server, need to find an MD5 hasher to let users log in. X can then port functions from TinaBot, including PM notices.

Sonic 1 - isolating snippets of code so you can mix and match your own enemies and stuff.

Getting Sneax to renew his domain - cos kickassgamers.com died a while back and we don't want squatters.

Other stuff

I have about 400+ pages of half-completed short stories and notes. I plan on getting a few of them finished and published.

Untitled Game - Basically, a 2D sidescrolling physics-based platformer/puzzle game. It will be badass.

siderts - Another basically untitled game. An attempt to make a real time strategy game that is side-view (jumping units, cave complexes, and floating islands make this possible). The pathfinding is a bitch, but once that's working it'll be amazing. On ice until the above game is completed.

Ultimate Showdown Game - A game based on the popular flash animation. Basically, this will be more cooler than you can imagine. Unfortunately, it's on ice until this summer.

Scorpion Kick / Butterfly Kick- One of my new year's resolutions basically amounts to a year-long project. By the end of the year, I will be able to do a scorpion kick (swing your upper body down and swing one leg up so your foot ends up where your head was) and a butterfly kick (roundhouse followed by spinning hook-kick midair).

I'll quote from the archive, as it was not so far back and is still up-to-date...

Posted by Kasumi-Astra
1) Thesis. I'm writing a forum system in PHP, fully object oriented an probably going to have seperate logic and interface layers by the time it's done. I could abstract the database as well, but I don't think it's worth it at the present as MySQL is breeding eight million baby bunnies at any given time while Oracle is watching TV eating Doritos.
The project is roughly one year and three months old. I'm gradually refining the system model and pondering objects, inheritance and suchlike. Once I'm happy with the way things are working I'm going to finish the design (using Borland Together) and then revise my code to match.
I've also got to write a report consisting of roughly 12,000 words. The whole shebang is due in at the end of April.

2) Applications, Architectures and Frameworks assignment. Design and construct in either Visual Basic or C# a web-service or a web site for the employees of a sandwich shop to take orders. We need to consider orders, sandwiches, ingredients, stock levels, staff, staff rotas and pricing. A whole bunch of other things to do for bonus points.

3) Case Studies in Software Design assignment. Construct a simulation of a secure facility in Java. We need to design and implement a simulation that includes employees, cards, terminals, doors, card readers, security managers & interfaces, receptionist & interfaces and a bunch of other things too.

4) Professionalism assignment. Write a report of 1000 words (between five people XD) on the professional issues surround data disclosure. This is a joke of a module.

5) Network and Systems Security. Compile a report about the security benefits, features and issues surrounding Security Enhanced Linux. Around 30 pages long.

-- Non Uni --

1) Nanase - Level 60 Undead Warlock (Quel'Thelas EU)

2) Hayward - Level 17 Tauren Hunter (Quel'Thelas EU) (Showing up my guild's Blood Elves by rolling a proper race)

3) Sitting in bed, drinking tea, keeping my temperature up. Thinking of my blood as a boiling kettle full of drowning bugs. Heheh, you will regret the day you infected me >=D

4) Twilight Princess. Just finished the desert temple. w00t.

5) Got some sketches on the go. Experimenting a lot with inking images using different materials... Fineline pens, brush pens and pencils too.
Holding off colouring them in Photoshop until I can find a really nice, clean, fine finish for the lineart.

6) Got a viewing for a house next week. I'm currently living in central Sheffield in a flat that's basically three small rooms. Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom. We have our Macs next to our bed, as we don't have desks.
We're viewing a house up by Meadowhall (big mall in the UK, 5 mins trainride from here). It's furnished, 5 minutes walk from train station and mall, has two bedrooms and sofa, and a cellar. The rent is £130 less a month from what we're paying now. If it's in a good area, we should have much more room to settle down in.

Then all we have to do is sort out cable internet, phone and cable TV and we're good to go!

Nocadiem, an RTS game set in a fantasy universe based off the one I run D&D games in

An actual D&D game, played through MoonEdit (Infinite thanks to XK for posting it on the board so I found out about it... I now use it for nigh everything)

A stepfile of Psychic Storm by Zephyris 4, it's 8:46 long and way too complicated, and in the two months I've been working on it I've got maybe the first 20 seconds done.

Getting better at Starcraft so my friends and I can pretend to be Koreans.

Learn more awesome on the guitar. Seriously, I've become too complacent with my current amounts of awesome.

Wishing I was half the programmer Squash Monster is.

My ircBOT CATS (name might change). Dosen't do much for now, but I plan to eventually merge it with some other projects of mine.

A 'machinecode' interpreter for a fictional processor I'm going to make.

Finish school labs, and get high grades on my current courses.

Learn C++, and make some game with it...
