What was that movie about anyway? Looked like a battle but no actual combat. I was kinda interested in this game until I got to know who the main villain was a while ago.

Both first games had their freaky moments, though first Mother was slightly darker at parts... and then you have Giaygas in Mother 2.

I look forward playing Mother 3 eventually... even if I got myself parts spoiled.

Yes. He´s lame. And as he´s some kind of a hate-object I guess you get some kind of motivation to kick his ass in this game. But I probably won´t play it.
