What settings for posts and threads per page do you use and why?

Ever since I first registered at Acmlm's I have used 50 posts per page on all Acmlmboards. I hate having to click and flip through pages a lot when reading a long thread. Especially since my experience is that loading 5 smaller pages takes MUCH longer than 2 larger pages of the same total size. Now I keep a setting of 50 because I'm used to it. Another advantage is that most of the time, I can see more of the conversation prior to the last post.

My threads per page setting is 100, but for no good reason. Sometimes I do like reading old posts and threads and like to see more per page.

The default 20 and 20. Too damn lazy to change.

Plus, dialup=lose.

Default for me, I rather like changing pages in threads.. kind of like reading a book in a way, it's fun to turn the page and see what's next!

I'm using 20 post per page and 50 threads per page. Why? I'm just used to the default posts per page and threads per page settings of the old Acmlm's Board.

I always use those, even though I used that towards the end of Dial-Up days.

For the longest time I used 20 posts, and 9999 threads, until during Acmlm's Board Inc. 3, after I was banned and deleted, after I while I set the cookie ppp to 50 and tpp to 9999.
My threads per page here are 255, as 9999 is too much. There are plenty of forums that have had over 255 threads before though, so I think it should be raised.

20p/100t for me. Kind of like before (20p/20t is too small)...

100 posts, 50 threads.

It just works out really well if no layouts are involved, and if you're not poor enough to have to use dialup. I sometimes change it as I see necessary, though, although I don't do it all that often.

My settings are set to:

100 Threads per page
100 Posts per page

I don't mind load times, I just hate having to click to go to another page.

My settings are 20 posts and 50 threads. Threads are so thin that even 50 still arn't as big as 20 posts.

20p/50t... I used to use 75p/100t on the old board, but I went with a lower number here.

For me, posts and threads are both 10. It takes the page less time to load, it seems more organized, and I don't have to look through millions of threads to find the one I want. The only thing that bugs me a little is when I post a thread and it says 10 replies, it goes to 11 (second page) due to my original post.

#&postrank&
50 for posts and 35 for threads, which I think I've used since 2001

I think the old default for threads was actually 50, so maybe I should change that one back ...
