1561. Keyboards that have the backward L-shaped Enter keys and tiny backspace.

Posted by Kernal This is even more fun when it's way too sensitive, so that any touch or heavy breath clicks, and the only way to turn it off is to have a program running in the background, which means you can't turn it off in Linux. 1581. Being the only Acmlmer who actually prefers the L-shaped enter and small backspace. Those were the keyboards I grew up with, and with the other arrangement, I'm constantly hitting \ and enter at the same time, adding a \ to whatever I was typing (Murphy's Law ensures that it's usually a password). I rarely hit \ instead of backspace with the other layout.
1582. Microsoft adding new keys to the keyboard. 1583. Every computer company except Apple catering to the every whim of Microsoft. At least Dell is starting to use Linux, finally. |

Posted by Kernal 1583. Dell. They are evil, suffice it to say they screwed us over royally when we tried to buy a computer from them. First, they shipped the computer while we were on vacation, despite the fact that we told them we'd be on vacation, and they said they'd hold it, we got UPS to not deliver it though, yay UPS! Then, we get the computer, it's processor, monitor, and graphics card were all below what we had ordered, but we'd been charged for the better ones. When we called them about this, they kept trying to pass us crap offers instead of replacing the computer, my favorite is "We'll give you $50 off a new Dell product!" The computer costs way more than that, idiot. We kept going up levels in Dell's support, probably one a day, we finally got out of their spots in India, and to the HQ, but then, we never got a call from the next guy. And of course, he said (through his secretary) that he called us several times, which he didn't. When we tried to go higher up, we got sent back to the offices in India! We eventually had to send the computer we got back, get a refund, and then buy the computer we wanted all over again, they wouldn't even let us use the discount stuff we used for the first one again. So, yeah. I hate Dell. ____________________ There are things I want to put here. Like a cool picture, my 8-bit theatre character test result, my MS and RO characters... Posted by Koitenshin +∞ I wanted to build the computer, but my parents, funding this as a present to me, thought I'd break the parts, despite the fact I'm much more careful around electronic equipment than they ever are, and wouldn't allow it. I could've done it, but I'm 15, so I must still obey my parents. ____________________ There are things I want to put here.
